The compilation DVD represents Serbian national television and radio live broadcasts of a concert series, held at the Studio Six of the Radio Belgrade (hence the name of our Ensemble Studio6 - an hommage to our first ever concert which was held there in 2012).
From the booklet: '"The unique format of the Studio Six project is not something easy to come across elsewhere, in concert or non-concert environment alike. The format provides local and foreign creative artists with an opportunity to work in studio conditions. The concerts are played before a live audience, but are also broadcast simultaneously to TV and radio audiences, with the idea of significantly multiplying the number of viewers and listeners both locally and abroad. In the spring of 2012 Radio Belgrade Third Programme initiated a series of live broadcast concerts from the Radio Belgrade Studio Six. The legendary Radio Studio Six is the only of its kind in Serbia, with its original analogue recording equipment still available. In parallel with the state-of-the-art digital technology offered by the RTS Digital channel, the Studio Six series of concerts usher us into 'the living museum' of recording- and sound-art of our region. All concerts are broadcast live via RTS Digital and Radio Beograd channels, and are also available online, in audio format only. The recordings are also available through EBU exchange, making these Belgrade performances available to wider European and global audiences. Supreme quality of recordings did not only result in a brand new video and audio archive, it also brought about a whole 'new scene' that gave us more than 20 concerts already. The Studio Six Project is continuing to develop and create new opportunities, enabling TV viewers following live HD broadcasts and the audience listening to real-time radio broadcasts to witness the creative moment together with the studio audience - making their joint experience close to interactive - and opening direct access to a stage of experimentation, a stage of new boundaries.
